Joe,

Thank you for taking the time to respond and explain the situation and your viewpoints. I appreciate the contributions you are making to our understanding of geologic time (http://www.clas.ufl.edu/users/jmeert/) and for your work with Florida Citizens for Science (http://www.flascience.org/wp/).

Peter,

I can't complain about your disagreement about my comments. Let me try to clarify my comment just a bit. (1) I only had access to the preview of the game when I made the comment. After playing the real game, I realize that the game has very little to do with evolution (2) The game will be (and is) played by kids who ask questions (my 11 year old who is full of questions) and it does allow me to teach him about what is wrong with the game and why it does not represent evolutionary science. I can see how
someone might view my quote as 'play the game as if it were representative of evolution and i'll show you where it's wrong'. Having now played the game, it's probably better to say 'don't view this game as a teaching tool for evolution as the basic premise is fantasy rather than science'. Next time I'll insist they provide me with the full game before asking for comments. Anyway, I see nothing wrong with what you have written.

Cheers
