Good question. I am new to the tech conferences, so I am not the correct person to identify the top three. I know I greatly enjoyed NECC, FETC, and NCCE (Northwest Council of Computer Education). These were opportunities for big fun and great learning.
As far as science conferences, every science teacher should try to attend at least one NSTA conference every six years. There are four regional NSTA conferences and one national conference so there should be something in your area every few years.
And then I believe that it is important to attend your own state conference, so you can learn from people in your state and build a community of science educators.

Great list! Besides NECC, what are your top three favorite tech conferences and why? If you had to pick only three state science conferences, which would you choose and why?
